Your hosts are Michele & David Binks who became the owners of Court Farm and its three holiday cottages in October 2011. We moved here from a village near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire having previously run our own pet care business for about 7 years. We didn’t move alone either as we also arrived with Michele’s mother Pat and her partner Edwin, our dogs and horses (we currently have two dogs and two horses).

We have extensively re-decorated and re-equipped our 3 cottages, Snowdrop, Mountain Ash & Rowan. All are now rated as 3 Star by Visit England and have each been awarded Certificates of Excellence by TripAdvisor. All are non-smoking and dog-friendly . You can see the full details of each cottage on the individual cottage page. The cottages are dog-friendly (although dogs are not allowed upstairs) with their own secure gardens and miles of walking direct from the front door – it really is dog heaven here. Our cottages are also ideal if you want to bring your horse as we can provide stabling and grazing by arrangement. You can ride directly on to Exmoor at Room Hill and from there on to Winsford Hill or to Withypool. In the opposite direction you can go through Exford and head towards Dunkery or Porlock, either way there are miles of riding. Michele is always happy to escort our guests and show them some of the great rides around here.

Part of the farmhouse at Court Farm itself is believed to date from the sixteen hundreds although there are indications that the Court family after whom it is named farmed here from the 1300s. Our dining room contains an intriguing plaster carving with the date 1679 and the name Thomas Fugars. Other buildings in our hamlet were added over time for both farm workers and animals. Mountain Ash and Rowan Cottages were converted from a former cow barn in the late 1990s, Snowdrop Cottage used to be a one-storey storage shed but was converted to a proper two-storey cottage in the 1980s.
