Downstairs there is a large lounge with leather sofas, Smart Freeview TV and a log burner. Note if you wish to access any subscription services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime etc please bring your own account login details.

The large kitchen/diner is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The hot water and central heating are controlled from a boiler in the kitchen.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome but only allowed downstairs. A dog gate is provided to prevent them from going upstairs. Dogs may not be left alone in the cottage unless in crate. We can provide a dog minding service for those occasions you may need to leave your dogs behind.

The back door is a stable-type door which opens into a fenced private garden laid mainly to lawn. There is a rotary washing line and garden chairs and table.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with two single beds and a shared bathroom with shower cubicle. The double bedroom has a flat screen TV. Both bedrooms have their own wash basins.

Note that all of our cottages are non-smoking.

All bed linen, electricity and central heating costs are included in the price. We provide a starter pack of logs and kindling for the log burner.  Additional wood can be purchased from us (£2.50 per bucket), locally at the shop or you can bring your own. Cots & high chairs are available on request. Sets of towels (face, hand and bath) can be hired at a cost of £5 per person per week. Dogs are charged at £18.00 per dog per week or £3.00 per night for shorter stays. If you wish we can purchase dog food in advance for you at cost plus 5%. Let us know your requirements when you pay your balance if you wish to use this service. There is a car parking space immediately adjacent to Rowan Cottage with additional free car parking available in our car park close to the cottage where there is also room for parking horse trailers for those bringing horses.
