The pretty village of Exford is just 10 minutes walk along the River Exe from Court Farm and has much to offer.

Exford boasts two good eating pubs The Exmoor White Horse and The Crown. The villages store is open daily for groceries, papers and takeaway snacks and coffee. The Exford Bridge Tea Rooms offer great breakfasts and afternoon tea and runs a Dark Sky social meal and talk every Thursday and is open from March until October. For the younger visitor there is an extensive play area at the far end of the village green including swings and a zip wire. There is a service station if your car plays up but no fuel. The nearest fuel is 5 miles to the East at Wheddon Cross where there is also a mini-mart and a very good pub called The Rest & Be Thankful.
